Carbon Reduction Plan _

1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Solution Performance Group is committed to reducing its carbon footprint in line with the UK Cabinet Office Procurement Policy Notice 06/21. This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines our baseline emissions footprint and strategy to minimize greenhouse gas emissions associated with our operations with the aim of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

2. Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past, prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured. As Solution Performance Group has not previously assessed or reported emissions, the current emissions reporting below is used as the baseline emissions footprint.

3. Emissions Reduction Targets

To progress to achieving Net Zero, the following carbon reduction targets have been adopted.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next 7 years to X tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of X%

4. Carbon Reduction Measures

In the future, the following carbon reduction measures will be implemented to progress our commitment to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050.

4.1. Energy Efficiency Measures

Solution Performance Group will implement energy-saving measures in our office spaces by utilising products and services centred towards energy efficiency. Harmonic, the company’s own building utilisation and optimisation product, will be deployed in both the Newcastle and Leeds Office Locations. In addition, Solution Performance Group will ensure companywide compliance to day-to-day energy efficient best practices (e.g. turning of lights and shutting down equipment where appropriate)

4.2. Sustainable Travel

Solution Performance Group will continue to maintain the Hybrid Working Policy and promote remote work and virtual meetings to reduce the need for travel. Employees will be encouraged to use public transportation, cycling, and walking for commuting and client visits (e.g. Expenses Policy, EV Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme)

4.3. Supply Chain Management

Solution Performance Group will prioritise suppliers with strong environmental sustainability practices, ensuring 80% of key suppliers adhere to sustainability standards by Q4 2024. In addition, Solution Performance Group will collaborate with suppliers to assess and reduce the carbon impact of the products and services we procure.

4.4. Waste Reduction and Recycling

Waste reduction programmes will be implemented to encourage employees to minimise waste and recycle responsibly. The use of single use plastic will be discouraged whilst the use of reusable water bottles and coffee cups will be promoted. Solution Performance Group will reuse and repurpose items such as Reuse office supplies, containers and electronic equipment.

4.5. Employee Awareness and Engagement

To raise awareness about the importance of carbon reduction, the Quarterly Newsletter will include an environmental management and awareness section and employees will be enrolled onto interactive training courses and presentations. Solution Performance Group are establishing Environmental Management Champion(s) to drive sustainability initiatives and gather employee feedback.

4.6. Compliance and Certification
